All prices are per year and exclude applicable taxes. Transfers add a full year to whatever time is already left on the domain. Renewal rates are shown here rather than revealed at checkout.

Because it is the price you will pay for most of the years you own the domain. Showing only the first-year rate makes a comparison meaningless. Both figures sit in the same row so the real cost is visible before you decide.
Yes, every figure in the table is an annual rate. Some extensions have a minimum term of two years set by their registry, and that is noted in the final column rather than buried in the terms.
On most extensions, yes — and the transfer adds a year to whatever time is left on the domain, so you are buying time rather than paying a moving fee.
No. Figures are shown before any applicable tax, which is calculated at checkout based on your billing country. The currency selector in the footer switches the whole table if you are billed in a different one.
WHOIS privacy, which is a registry service we do not currently bundle, and any redemption fee charged if a domain is recovered after it has expired. Everything else you need to run the domain — DNS, nameservers, the registrar lock, the EPP code — costs nothing extra.
Registries adjust their wholesale rates periodically, and when that happens the table updates automatically. Anything already registered keeps its rate until the current term ends, and your renewal notice states the figure clearly before the charge.
The per-year rate is the same however many years you buy at once. Registering for longer does protect you from registry price rises during that term, which is often the better reason to do it.
