Domain transfer
Every transfer adds twelve months to whatever time is already left. Your site and email keep running throughout, because the records move before the domain does.
Enter the domain exactly as it is registered today, including the extension.
The parts that take time are enforced by the registry, not by us. Everything on our side happens the day you submit.
Log into whoever holds the domain now and switch off the registrar lock. It is usually one toggle in the domain settings.
Ask them for the EPP or authorisation code. Most registrars email it within minutes, though some take up to a day.
Enter the domain and the code, and pay for the transfer year. We submit the request to the registry the same day.
You will get a confirmation email. Approve it and the registry completes the move, typically within five to seven days.
Every setting below is a page in your account rather than a support ticket. Nameservers, the lock and the auth code are yours to change at any hour, including the hour you decide to leave.
Point the domain at any host, ours or anyone else's, and change it as often as you like.
A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT and SRV records, edited from the client area with changes applied immediately.
Enabled by default so nobody can move the domain away without your authorisation code.
On by default, switchable from the overview page, with notices well before the renewal date.
Generate the authorisation code yourself. Leaving does not require a ticket or a retention call.
Register ns1 and ns2 on your own domain, which is what you need to resell hosting under your brand.
Update the registrant, admin, billing and technical WHOIS records yourself at any time.
A DNS record rather than a billable item, so there is no cap and no upsell attached.
No. A transfer changes who manages the domain, not where it points. We copy your existing DNS records before submitting the request, so traffic and mail continue routing exactly as they did throughout the process.
